About The Project - The first priority was to open the kitchen to the dining room and have enough room to entertain. The contrasting wood island anchors the room while the painted perimeter cabinets keep the room bright and airy. The black stainless-steel appliances, Edison bell lights and apron front sink bring the industrial farm house theme to life.

Our Favorite Part - Before this project, the client couldn’t open the dishwasher without asking their guest to get up from their chairs. Changing the function of the space by turning the peninsula into an island allowed us to move the guest chairs to the opposite side of the island, not only increasing the flexibility of this kitchen, it also keeps guests from bumping into the appliances. Win, Win!
